Routedirect vehicles with fully trained drivers Ian and Bhupesh
What is the Routedirect service?
An individual "paid for" travel service in and around Coventry provided in adapted vehicles in the Routeforward fleet
Who can use the service?
Disabled People (physical and sensorial impairments) and mental health from 15 years up to 65 years of age, who are in receipt of Mobility Component Disability Living Allowance (either the lower or the higher rate)
Is there a cost?
You have to register for Routedirect membership, at the current membership fee of £10 for a six month period. Membership is reviewed every six months to make sure you still require the service.
Routedirect then charges a set fare of £5.00 for each one-way trip.
Also, providing it is the same pick up and drop off point a friend can travel with you for a set fee of £1.00 (each way).
People will be requested to pre-pay in to their Routedirect account before booking trips, as this will help to avoid the risks associated with collection of cash on the vehicles.

Is there an age limit?
15 years – 25 years to travel to a social venue or leisure activity.
26 years - 65 years to travel to employment, training, vocational activity, or volunteering.
When is the service available?
Monday to Friday 9.30am – 2.30pm & 5.30pm – 10.30pm (except Bank Holidays - see below)
Weekends 10.30am – 10.30pm (except Easter Sunday)
How do people register?
A registration form is to be completed.
Once you have registered with Routedirect, a Neighbourhood Travel Planner will contact you, and a Transport Impact Assessment will be carried out.
